TWISTED SISTER's DEE SNIDER: No Plans To Record A New Album

Recently reunited hair rockers TWISTED SISTER have no plans to record new material and are saying good-bye to fans with the upcoming "farewell" tour, which will last up to three years.

"I understand what it is, it's nostalgia," frontman Dee Snider told New Jersey's The Star-Ledger. "I'm not trying to restart my career. All my peers are releasing new albums and they're not selling. For me, it's too much work and too much heartache."

"I feel that TWISTED SISTER is unfinished business," Snider added. "It came on so ferociously in the'80s and it went out with a thud. I wanted it to ... spontaneously combust in our boots or something. This is about going out there one last time and ending it the way it should have ended."

The group, which released its last album in 1987, reunited for their first performance in 14 years at last year's "New York Steel" benefit for the New York Police & Fire Widows' & Children's Benefit Fund. Snider and his TWISTED musical siblings have since decided to extend the reunion and have recently confirmed European summer festival dates. A U.S. road trip will be announced in the coming weeks.
